Post-doc position available at the Institute of Microbiology, Lausanne University Hospital (Switzerland)
A postdoc position is available starting May 2019 for up 16 months (period may be extended) at the Institute of Microbiology (IMUL) of the Lausanne University Hospital (Switzerland) to investigate transcriptional response of the fungal pathogen Candida albicans in contact with host cells. This position is part of a consortium including four different laboratories (University of Lausanne, University of Zürich, EPFL, Institut Pasteur) funded by a Sinergia grant from theSwiss Research National Foundation. The project is aimed to identify fungal genetic factors associated with the variability in the outcomes of fungal-host interactions. Genetic factors are being identified using several parallel approaches based on the association of diverse phenotypes (obtained in vitro, in vivo and through transcriptomics, eQTLs) with whole genomes data from a collection of clinical isolates. The candidate should be a PhD in Life Sciences with good skills in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Experience in bioinformatics, transcriptional data processing and mammalian cell cultures is an advantage. Applicants can send a CV, a letter of motivation and letters of recommendation to:
